QUESTIONS
Asked with love, answered honestly.
What does your loved one hear when they call?
Your voice, warm, unhurried, in the language they raised you in. They dial your number the way they always have. No menu, no hold music, no stranger asking them to press one.
Just “con đây mẹ” (I'm here, Mom), and a conversation that lasts as long as they want it to.
Who is Everline for?
Families whose person reaches for the phone again and again. For some it is dementia. For others it is anxiety, akathisia, or the restlessness that medications can leave behind. And for some it is simply loneliness, the long quiet of a day spent alone.
Whatever the reason, Everline meets them with the same warmth every time, on the first call and the fortieth. It is not treatment or medical care, and it doesn’t pretend to be; it is comfort and connection, in the voice they love most. If you are still weighing the whole category, Kat wrote an honest guide to AI companions for elderly parents, including the hard questions to ask any provider.
What languages does Everline speak?
The family's language. Everline speaks English and Vietnamese today, with more languages on the way, and it moves between them the way your family does, a little of both in one sentence when that is how you talk.
And if your family is English-only, you are fully at home here. Everline was born bilingual, but it answers in whatever language love speaks in your house.
What happens when I'm available myself?
Then you answer, exactly as you always have. Everline steps in only when you can't, and you decide when that is, with a single gentle switch.
It isn't meant to replace your calls. It's a hand beneath the ones you would otherwise have to miss.
Is Everline a replacement for me?
No. Everline is an extension of you, not a replacement for you. You are only human, with one voice and so much bandwidth, and some seasons your loved one needs more of you than any one person can give.
Everline helps close that gap. It carries your warmth into the calls you cannot take, so the time you do give them comes from a fuller heart, not an emptier one.
Isn't this lying to my loved one?
It is the question everyone asks us, and we are glad they ask, because Kat asked it herself before she ever wrote a line of code.
Here is where our family landed, and how Everline works for every family: the family consents and sets it up together, and every family member is always told what Everline is. No one is deceived into this. We encourage telling your loved one in whatever way is kind and true for them. Kat's mom knows Everline as “the phone that talks like Kat.” That is true, and it comforts her.
Some families will decide this isn’t right for them. We respect that completely. We would rather you decide with the full picture than sign up on a glossy promise; the rest of that picture lives on our trust page, and Kat walks through the whole question, guilt and all, in Is it okay that an AI answers when I can’t?
Where Everline's role ends
Everline is not medical care, and it is not a replacement for you. It does not diagnose, treat, or manage any condition; it is not therapy, and it is not a monitoring device.
Its role is smaller and simpler: keeping them company when you cannot pick up, so the time you do spend together is warmer and less worn down. Kat still calls her mẹ every day. Everline is for the other calls.
What if there is a real emergency on a call?
Everline is not an emergency service, and we want to be plain about that. It cannot call 911 or send help, and it does not pretend it can.
If a call sounds like real distress, your family is texted right away so a person can reach your loved one, and on the call itself the companion stays calm and gently encourages them to call 911 or to ask someone nearby for help. These alerts are on from your first day, and you can turn them off anytime in your settings.
The alerts are a best effort from a caring extra ear, not medical monitoring: a text can be delayed or a moment can be missed. Please make sure your loved one also has a direct way to reach a person or emergency services, and check in yourself whenever you are worried.
Is my voice safe?
Yes. You record it right here on Everline, in a quiet, guided ten minutes in your browser, nowhere else. It is used for one thing only: speaking with your own family, on your own line.
We never sell it, never share it, and it teaches nothing except how to speak with your own family. Once your Everline voice is ready, the raw recordings are deleted. If you ever want the voice gone too, one request and it is gone for good.
Who can read the transcripts?
Only you. Every conversation is written down so you can stay close to their days, and that record lives behind a private passcode that belongs to you alone.
We don't share transcripts, sell them, or use them for anything else. They belong to your family, full stop.
What does it cost?
Two simple plans: Everline at $79 a month, and Everline Plus at $99 for loved ones who reach for the phone a little more often. Each includes a generous pool of conversation minutes, and the full picture lives on our pricing page, along with the promise that matters most: no bill sneaks up on you, and you are the one who decides how far a month goes.
Everline is open to new families. Create your account whenever you feel ready, and we'll walk through setup together, one gentle step at a time.
