PRIVACY POLICY

Their words are yours alone.

Effective July 9, 2026. This is the whole policy, written to be read. No legal maze, no surprises.

The short version

Everline holds some of the most personal things a family has: a voice, a loved one's worries, the small details of their world. We treat all of it the way we'd want our own family's treated.

We collect only what the service needs. We never sell your data. We never train AI models on your voice, your conversations, or your family's information. And when you ask us to delete something, we delete it, completely.

What we collect, and why

Your account: your email address and a password (stored only in protected, scrambled form), so you can sign in.

Your voice recordings: the short guided recordings you make in the voice studio. They're used for exactly one thing, preparing your Everline voice, and the raw recordings are deleted as soon as that's done.

Their world: the names, memories, favorite topics, and gentle notes you add, so conversations feel like family. You can edit or remove any of it, anytime.

Call records: when your loved one calls, we keep the transcript, the call time and length, and a soft one-word sense of their mood, so you can stay close to their days. Visible to the account holder alone.

Waitlist notes: if you joined our earlier waitlist, we keep the name, email, and note you chose to share, only so we can write to you about Everline. Ask us to forget you and we will.

Voices, with consent only

A voice is recorded only by the person it belongs to, in their own browser, with their explicit consent. We never build a voice from anything else.

The prepared voice is used solely to answer your own family's line. It is never shared with other customers, never used in anyone else's product, never used for marketing, and never used to train models.

Audio recordings are kept only as long as it takes to prepare the voice, then deleted. Remove a voice from your account and it's gone from our systems and our voice provider's.

Who can see the conversations

Only the account holder. Transcripts live behind your sign-in and are not visible to other customers, to advertisers, or to anyone browsing the site.

A small number of Everline operators can access systems that store this data, only when needed to run the service or to help you when you ask. That access is a responsibility we take personally.

The helpers we rely on

Everline runs on a few carefully chosen services: telephony to carry the call, speech recognition to hear your loved one's words, an AI model to shape a warm reply, voice synthesis to speak in your voice, and hosting and storage to keep it all running. Each receives only what it needs to do its narrow job on your family's behalf, under agreements that forbid using your data for anything else, including training their models.

We never sell or rent your information, and we don't share it with advertisers or data brokers. Full stop.

How long we keep things

Raw voice recordings: until your voice is prepared, then deleted.

Transcripts, memories, and settings: for as long as you keep your account, so their world is always there when they call.

Everything: until you ask us to delete it. Closing your account, or simply asking, removes your family's data completely and promptly.

Your choices and rights

You can see, change, and delete what's in your account at any time: memories, voices, family members, transcripts.

You can also delete your whole account yourself, right from your dashboard settings. It removes your family's voices, memories, call history, plan, and account in one step, immediately.

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask what we hold, or ask us to erase everything. If you live in California, these are also your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act; we honor them for everyone, wherever you live.

We will never discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

Keeping it safe

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to what each part of the service needs, passwords are stored only as protected hashes, and the family dashboard sits behind your own sign-in. No system is perfect, but we build as if your family's voice depends on it, because it does.

Children

Everline accounts are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13, and the service isn't directed to them. A grandchild's voice may be added to a family's line only by their parent or guardian, with everyone's consent.

Where your data lives, and changes to this policy

Everline is operated from California and our services are hosted in the United States. If you use Everline from elsewhere, your information is processed in the US.

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll tell you by email or in the app before they take effect, in the same plain language.

Questions, requests, or anything on your mind? Reach us through our contact page and a person will write back. See also our terms of service.
