The short versions.

ONE LINE

Everline answers an elderly loved one's phone calls in a family member's own voice, in English and Vietnamese today, with more languages on the way, so no call rings into silence.

BOILERPLATE

Everline is a voice companion for families caring for an elderly loved one who calls all day. The family sets it up together: a family member records their own voice, adds the memories and topics that comfort their loved one, and Everline answers their loved one's calls in that voice, in English and Vietnamese today, with more languages on the way, as warmly the thirtieth time as the first. Founded in 2026 by Kat, who built it for her Vietnamese mother, Everline is a comfort and connection service, not medical care. Plans start at $79 a month with capped overage, and families can read every conversation. everline.care

THE FOUNDER STORY, ONE PARAGRAPH

Everline began as one daughter's answer to a ringing phone. Kat's mother has dementia, severe anxiety, and akathisia, a restlessness left behind by years of medications, and at her peak she called Kat more than 30 times a day. Kat, a software builder, could not answer them all, so she built a companion that could: it answers her mother's calls in Kat's own voice, in Vietnamese, and greets her with the words Kat has said all her life, "Con đây mẹ." I'm here, Mom. She founded Everline in 2026 to give other families the same quiet relief, on one condition she refuses to bend: every family member is always told what Everline is.

About the founder.

FOUNDER BIO (100 WORDS)

Kat is the founder of Everline and the daughter the product was named for; "Con đây mẹ," the phrase her mother hears when she calls, means "I'm here, Mom." She cared for her Vietnamese mother through dementia, severe anxiety, and akathisia, during years when her mẹ called her more than 30 times a day, and she built Everline for her own family before offering it to anyone else. A software builder by trade, she runs Everline as a solo founder and still answers every family's emails herself. She writes about caregiving, pricing honesty, and consent at everline.care/blog, from lived experience, not as medical advice.

Our answer to the question every reporter asks.

ISN'T THIS LYING TO THEM?

"Isn't this lying to them?" We are glad reporters ask, because Kat asked it herself before she ever wrote a line of code. Here is how Everline works for every family: the family consents and sets it up together; nothing starts without them. Every family member is always told what Everline is. No one is deceived into this. Families are encouraged to tell their loved one in whatever way is kind and true for them; Kat's mother knows Everline as "the phone that talks like Kat." That is true, and it comforts her. And two things Everline is not: it is not medical care, and it is not a replacement for family. It does not diagnose, treat, or manage any condition. It keeps a loved one company when their family cannot pick up, so the time they do spend together is warmer and less worn down. Some families will decide this is not right for them. We respect that completely. We would rather a family decide with the full picture than sign up on a glossy promise.
